Sawa Delivers 4 Tonnes of Biochar to Lampung for Sustainable Agriculture Trial

Sawa has delivered four tonnes of biochar today, October 29, 2024, to CV Kresna Gama Mulia in Lampung, South Sumatra, initiating a collaborative effort to test biochar's effectiveness in sustainable agriculture. This biochar will be applied in a split trial across a 1-hectare cassava plantation, with half of the field enriched with biochar and the other half left untreated.

The trial aims to demonstrate biochar’s impact on soil fertility, water retention, and crop yield, offering insights that could drive more eco-friendly farming practices. Sawa will track and analyze the results, focusing on improvements in plant growth, yield, and soil quality. This initiative reflects Sawa's dedication to supporting sustainable agriculture in Indonesia and aligns with its mission to promote soil health and resilient crop production.
